The color is pretty much just as shown in the photo. The set came nicely packaged tied in a blue ribbon. I immediately washed it to soften it up. There are no instructions included but I washed them in cold water with one cup of baking soda and put a cup of vinegar in the rinse cycle. I then washed them a second time in cold water with a little detergent and fabric softener. They came out feeling pretty good and I know with each wash they will get softer and softer. It also came out pretty much wrinkle free.
